Gifted and Talented

At Stacey Jr./Sr. High School identified gifted and talented students receive service in their areas of strength in Honors and Advanced Placement classes in the four academic core content areas:

  • English Language Arts

  • Science

  • Social Studies

  • Mathematics

Honors and AP teachers have received the 30-hour Gifted and Talented training and offer a continuum of learning experiences that lead to the development of advanced-level performances and products that are in alignment with the Texas State Plan for Service for Gifted and Talented Students.

All campuses in Lackland ISD provide identification and service for Gifted and Talented students. For a student to be identified as Gifted and Talented (GT) in Lackland ISD, data from quantitative and qualitative criteria are collected to identify students who exhibit potential and/or perform at levels significantly beyond the norm in areas of superior cognitive and/or academic achievement.
